The grinding noise from Hell
My computer started making a Very Loud, Very Bad Noise. The kind of Noise that you would get if a bumblebee the size of your head flew inside the case and started bouncing around looking for the way out. Or, alternatively, the kind of Noise you would get if the disk drive was grinding itself into powder.
I turned everything off ASAP and let it rest for about 10 mins. When I switched it back on, it did the same thing, so I powered it off again and am now posting on the backup machine.
I predict a trip to TekServe in my immediate future, damnit.
